Welcome to my online office. I became a "Visalian" in 1977, and joined the State Farm family in 1991. I moved here to raise my children in a small town. For the first ten years of their lives, I was a stay at home mom; sewing their clothes and making baby food to make ends meet. Didn't regret a minute of it - Even worked part time at their school to be a part of their lives. I LOVE being a mom! Loved it even more when I became a Grandma... Grand kids are amazing!! New experiences going to all those school functions again. As an "empty nester" now the noises in my house are made by the dog . Cassie keeps things pretty interesting and busy. On Sunday you will find me singing in the choir at my local church and enjoy friends. I also love to head to the Sequoias, enjoy Lake Kaweah and all of our beautiful surrounding countryside. AND, of course visiting kids and grand kids in Three Rivers. grew right along with my kids and our small town became a city. But I still find that hometown feel when I go downtown. I love wandering, shopping and visiting with friends on our lovely downtown streets. On "Sidewalk Sale Days", you will find my banners flying on Main Street inviting you to shop local and check out State Farm, too.
Over the years, I have enjoyed being a part of many different community organizations and doing my part to make my city a better place to live. I was a long time member of the Downtown Kiwanis Organization; Judges Chairman for our local Miss America Program; Terrific Kids Coordinating Chairman; wrote the weekly newsletter and was Program Chair, Vice-President, President and did many fund raisers. I was selected Distinguished Kiwanian 2015. Along with working with my charities I was active with our Chamber of Commerce. As a board member and CFO of the Visalia Senior Housing project, for over 6 years, it was our goal to make sure that over 300 seniors were able to live within their means in a clean, safe and active housing community. joined a State Farm agents office in 1991. I was the office manager for another agent and worked for our local State Farm office as a trainer for office staff. I spent several months going from office to office helping them do what they do in better ways. But I missed helping the people. So I made the choice to become a State Farm Agent and was so excited when I was chosen. I opened my office April of 2000 and never looked back!! I love it. I enjoy helping my people protect their belonging and make sure that we are there when that accident happens or worse. I've seen some of my policyholders and friends though some tough times and so proud to be part of the company that helped them rebuild, replace and change.
This year several of our people have passed away. Being able to help their families was an honor. It's not always easy or fun and YEP we get stressed and struggle, but that is what makes it worth it !! Insuring that new car or home and celebrating new children and new jobs. Our people become our friends as we help them - are there for them when needed. This is who I am. Helping my people with that vehicle policy; home policy and creating a policy just for them. We also give away reusable grocery bags. It's fun to be at the local store and see my bags being used, and I sometimes end up giving mine away. We hope that people understand our commitment to making our city better in many ways - even if it's saving a few trees and slowing down the landfill.
My team and I are a part of our community and we hope you stop by, click on our Facebook page, call the office 24/7 and see us for who we are . . . the light is on, the sign it lite, let us help you too!!
