I've been a State Farm insurance customer for 27 years and my family has use their services since the 1950s for home automotive and farm insurance in a number of states. We worked out in Visalia, California for about five years and did business through this office. We had a number of policies but I never did meet or speak with the actual agent, the interactions were always with office staff. I'm very hands on with my businesses and I like to maintain personal relationships with my customers so they know they can trust me with any problems. I know it's the way things are going but I don't view this approach favourably. it's old-fashioned, but if your name is on the sign people ought to be able to walk in the door and speak to you. Especially in the age of online-only business, particularly insurance, one of the advantages of a brick-and-mortar location is to develop that rapport.
